IMA FIELD TRIP PHOTOS!

This photo is a photo of a beautiful pink flower I saw! I was walking on the path, and there was a random pink flower on the side of the path. I had to take a picture of it! I love the shade of vibrant pink! This photo is also in the rule of thirds.

In this photo, Hannah is walking down the path. I love all the white that contrasts with her plaid blue and white jacket! I think this photo looks really graceful because of Hannah walking. It also looks like she's alone because she is walking in this big hall alone.
When I first saw this photo, I saw all the composition that was in it. The first thing that caught my eye was the feeling in the photo. Like I said before, she looks graceful, but alone. I took this photo at around 12:30. The weather was great, and I think it looks very comfortable in the picture. Another one of my favorite things from this photo is the natural lighting coming in from the left. It really brings out the white on the pillars.
The composition in this photo is repetition, because of the lights, pillars, plants, and leaves in the hall! There is also leading lines. The path leads straight to Hannah and out. The lights and walls lead with the path toward her too. This is also framing because the whole hall is framing Hannah as she is walking.

This is a picture of a wall of fenced in rocks that leads to a tunnel up to a grass landing. I took this picture on the side of the wall. This photo is leading lines because of the lines leading to the tunnel. It has repetition from the rocks caged in.

This photo is a bridge with a pretty path leading under with the leaves around it. I love the repetition of the leaves, the leading line of the path, and the framing from the bridge! The color of the leaves is my favorite.

Backlighting

In this photo to the left, it's a photo of a leaf! I like it because it looks like it is falling! I actually picked it up and held it in front of the sun. This image is a backlighting photo because the sun is behind lighting the main subject of the leaf! I love the sharpness of the leaf.

This photo (on the bottom) is the lake condo my family and the Godbey's went to stay at over Fall Break. You can see the light shining really brightly on the tree and condo! I like how you can barely see the pretty colors of the leaves on the top of the tree, while the sun is shining on them. You can also see the condo to the right and the clouds in the beautiful blue sky!
I took this photo around 11:30! When  I took this picture I was walking out to the dock and I saw the sun shining vibrantly in front of me, then I remembered my backlighting assignment so I turned around and I saw how the condo was dark because the sun was shining behind it, so I walked down a little more so I could get the tree and condo in it together! The first thing that caught my eye was the different variations of color in the dark part of the picture, like the color of the leaves, and the grass on the hill at the bottom!
This picture is a backlighting photo because the sun is shining behind the subject (making the subject darker).  This image is also a Rule of Thirds Photo because the focus is not in the center of the picture.

This photo to the left is of my little brother Bryce. We were outside playing, when I had the idea of taking a picture of backlighting with him! So i told him to lay down on the grass, and the sun was shining behind him making Bryce darker. Then he put his hands on his face and made a cheesy face without me even telling him!! :)

Stop Motion Photography!

In this image, I had someone squeeze the Capri Sun pouch. The juice is coming out, and you can see it at the top, so it is stop motion photography. I think the colors of the pouch are really pretty. I like how it is also rule of thirds as well because the main focus is over to the left, instead of in the center. You can see the droplets on the Capri Sun too.

Stop Motion Photography!

This picture is the flag on south campus. It is blowing in the wind! I thought the red, white, and blue was really vibrant in this photo, especially with the blue sky in the background. You can see the folds in the flag, and you can tell that it is about to blow in the opposite direction!
When I look back at this photo now, I think of how pretty the flag looked blowing in the wind, and how beautiful the sky looked that day. It felt perfect that day, and when I saw the flag blowing I thought it would capture the moment of serenity. I was on the soccer field trying to think of a creative idea to take a picture of! I saw the flag, and it was blowing wildly in the wind. I thought it would be cool if I got a snapshot of it with the folds in the flag, showing the action. I got down low at a more interesting angle and took the picture!
The composition elements in this photo are Action! The flag is frozen in it's place. It is also Rule of Thirds because the flag is over to the right instead of focused in the center! This photo is somewhat Leading Lines and Repetition because of the pole leading up to the flag, and the repetition of the stars and stripes, but those composition elements are not very strong.
