Stop Motion Photography!

This picture is the flag on south campus. It is blowing in the wind! I thought the red, white, and blue was really vibrant in this photo, especially with the blue sky in the background. You can see the folds in the flag, and you can tell that it is about to blow in the opposite direction!
When I look back at this photo now, I think of how pretty the flag looked blowing in the wind, and how beautiful the sky looked that day. It felt perfect that day, and when I saw the flag blowing I thought it would capture the moment of serenity. I was on the soccer field trying to think of a creative idea to take a picture of! I saw the flag, and it was blowing wildly in the wind. I thought it would be cool if I got a snapshot of it with the folds in the flag, showing the action. I got down low at a more interesting angle and took the picture!
The composition elements in this photo are Action! The flag is frozen in it's place. It is also Rule of Thirds because the flag is over to the right instead of focused in the center! This photo is somewhat Leading Lines and Repetition because of the pole leading up to the flag, and the repetition of the stars and stripes, but those composition elements are not very strong.
